FRISCO JACK

Over the years I have featured those that have extended the hand of kindness to the Editor-In-Chief and me. This week I add another picture to my collection.

Jack Farrow, SDC's Ambassador, can be found in the Homestead Ridge area, just off the main square at Silver Dollar City. You will hear him playing the guitar, singing, telling a story (he puts me to shame), whittlin on a stick or serving as the master of ceremony at a SDC bluegrass contest. Jack has a heart for this place in the hills and the many guests that visit the park. Jack's wife Sharon is the schoolmarm in the one room school house behind the Wilderness Church. Together they keep our early heritage alive.

When we visit the park we like to stop in and say hi. It's like coming home.

"Railway termini are our gates to the glorious and the unknown. Through them we pass out into adventure and sunshine, to them, alas! we return."

- Edward M. Forster
