THE GOOD DOCTOR

It is that time of year (no doubt the result of slap'n backs and shak'n hands) that I make my annual pilgrimage to forage through the medicine cabinet for last year's cold remedies. Within lies an over-the-counter treasure trove of medical knowledge (some of which were big when I was a kid - cod liver oil and mercurochrome). But what I'm looking for can only be described as 'cold medicine hooch'.

There at the bottom of the cabinet is my prescription from last year -- it reads "Drink hot tea with lemon from an old boot". The prescription continues "It helps to drink a pint of Royal Crown first" (signed 'Ole Doc Griffin').

I try every remedy sent to me. I am now on No. 67. Yours is 2,653. I am looking forward to its beneficial results.
