JESSE

Once in awhile a picture unfolds right before your eyes. Jesse (pictured above) just sat down on a pile of logs at the Mahaffie House & Farmstead Wild West Days event to enjoy a cup of coffee. His duster and hat against the white outbuilding and the relaxed pose screamed 'picture'. It was as if Jesse stepped from the page of a history book.

A history buff, Jesse has specific interests in Lieutenant Colonel George Armstrong Custer's Last Stand, Indian Tribes, the Civil War, Outlaws and their lives and black powder firearms. He enjoys participating in local reenactments.

Most interesting though -- Jesse has an older brother named Frank and both are from Missouri -- but he is quick to point out that they are no kin to the infamous James brothers.
